Apollo Beach Paver Sealing
Are your pavers or travertine dull, lifeless, or losing their color? Are they being overrun by mold, algae and weeds? Premier Pro Wash & Seal, LLC is the leading authority for Paver and Travertine Sealing in Apollo Beach, FL. Our professionally trained and expert technicians are ready to bring back the beauty to your investment and protect it from future damage.
While sealing older pavers or travertine is imperative to prevent further degradation of the brick or stone and protect their integrity, sealing new pavers or stone is just as important! New installation of pavers and stone is a very costly procedure. Don’t let your beautiful investment get ruined from the excessive Florida rains and harsh UV Rays. Instead, protect them from the beginning by hiring Premier Pro Wash & Seal’s Paver Sealing Specialists in Apollo Beach, Florida to properly seal your pavers or travertine and preserve their new look before the damage has been done. With new paver installs, we recommend a minimum of 60 days to pass before any sealer is applied to allow the pavers to go through their natural process.
Why should I seal my Pavers or Travertine?
Properly sealed pavers will block the pores in the bricks and create a protective barrier. This helps maintain the structural integrity of pavers or travertine while also protecting them from the extreme heat and harmful UV Rays. Here in Florida, we also receive massive amounts of rain which overtime can begin to Pit and degrade the pavers. Sealed pavers will repel rain, oil, grease, and stains.
2. Color Enhancement
Sealing your pavers will enhance the natural colors and beauty of your pavers or travertine. Not only will sealing restore pavers from a faded, dry, sun bleached, or worn out look, but sealing will help prevent further fading and degradation of the brick or stone.
3. Sand Stabilization & Weed Inhibitor
Our preferred commercial sealer allows for superior sand joint stabilization as the sealer will lock the sand in place. Stabilizing and locking the sand in between your pavers will prevent sand washout, significantly decrease weed growth, and also protects the bricks from shifting.
4. Algae & Mold Inhibitor
Tired of excessive mold, mildew, and algae overtaking your beautiful pavers or stone? You are not alone! Our most common concerns expressed by customers is how to decrease these eye sores. We live in a hot, moist environment which makes our pavers a breeding ground for mold, mildew, and algae. Sealed pavers and stone dry much quicker than non sealed surfaces, thus inhibiting excessive algae and mold growth.
Now…Lets Talk Sealers!
Have you ever seen previously sealed pavers that a have cloudy, white, milky look to them or it appears the sealer is almost flaking off in areas? If so, chances are your previous contractor used a solvent based sealer and unfortunately, you are now looking at failed sealer. Solvent sealers often fail in Florida due to our copious amounts of rainfall and humidity. Over time, the moisture gets trapped under the sealer and cannot breath causing moisture retention and the cloudy, white appearance. Our Premier Pro Wash & Seal certified technicians do not use or recommend Solvent bases sealers here in Lithia for these reasons.
While we offer several options when it comes to sealers, our Apollo Beach expert paver sealing technicians highly recommend using a water-based sealer as opposed to an oil or solvent based sealer here in Lithia, Florida. Our sealer is guaranteed not to fail, trap moisture, flake, or turn yellow. Another added benefit to using a water based sealer is that in most cases, your sealing project can be completed in one day…weather permitting. No one likes to be inconvenienced by having contractors around your home for days working on a project so being able to complete your job in one day is another reason why water-based sealers are so popular with our customers. You get not only a gorgeous end result with a top of the line sealer that is guaranteed not to fail, but you can also get back to enjoying your driveway, lanai, or pool deck as soon as possible.
Our Professional Sealing Process:
We deep clean the pavers and joint spaces to remove stains, debris, and mold as much as possible. When needed, we use a turbo nozzle to ensure we get out the dirt and grime which is embedded in between the paver joints. Once our expert technicians ensure the area is thoroughly cleaned, we then fill the joint spaces with a silica sand that is a coarse, angular sand that has been filtered from any nutrients. Using the wrong type of sand can wreck havoc later down the road with increased mold, algae, and weed issues. We highly discourage use of play sand or any type of thin sand or polymeric sand here in Florida. While using a wet sanding approach, we fill the sand to their proper depth levels, which is just below the chamfer edge of the pavers. Our seal team experts are very meticulous when it comes to cleaning up excess sand. We go above and beyond to ensure excess sand is vacuumed from your door jams, frames, sliders, and around your pool enclosures. Finally once the preparation is completed and meets our military standards, we apply two coats of sealer. Although we have a 2 coat sealer minimum, we do offer a third coat option as well.
My pavers are cleaned and sealed, now what? Premier Pro Wash & Seal offers a Maintenance Cleaning Program to our sealing customers to help their pavers or travertine stay in pristine condition until it is time to seal again in a few years. Our plan is based on six month cycles where our sealing specialists come back to your property and perform a low pressure, chemical wash of the area to ensure your property is properly maintained.
